Adjective
Wiktionary
EXCLUSIONARY, adjective. Acting to exclude something
EXCLUSIONARY RULE, noun. (US) (legal) A doctrine which requires that evidence obtained as the result of an illegal act on the part of law enforcement personnel (such as a warrantless search, or continued questioning a witness who has invoked the right of counsel) must therefore be excluded from being admitted as evidence in a trial. This rule does not apply in civil proceedings, although statutes sometime specifically provide for exclusion of such evidence.
EXCLUSIONARY RULES, noun. Plural of exclusionary rule
Wise words
It is better wither to be silent, or to say things of more
value than silence. Sooner throw a pearl at hazard than an
idle or useless word; and do not say a little in many words,
but a great deal in a few.
